Our Journey – From Station Cabs to Cuxton Cars Ltd

With over 20 years of experience in the taxi industry, Cuxton Cars Ltd has established itself as a trusted name in the Rochester and Snodland areas. A significant milestone in our journey came when we took over Station Cabs, which had been Snodland’s main taxi provider for 37 years. This transition wasn’t just about a rebrand – we introduced a range of new services to enhance the experience for both our customers and drivers.

Since acquiring Station Cabs, we’ve modernised the way we do business. We implemented online booking systems, making it quicker and easier for customers to book a ride. We also introduced in-car card payment options, providing a convenient and secure way for passengers to pay without needing cash.

Reliable Contracts – Year-Round Work for Our Drivers

At Cuxton Cars Ltd, we are proud to have contracts with 12 private sector clients that run throughout the year, in addition to contracts with three local councils during school term times. This means our drivers benefit from steady, dependable work all year round, while our clients can rest assured knowing they’ll always receive a reliable service.

By ensuring this continuous flow of work, we provide job security for our drivers and a dependable service for our clients, ensuring both parties are consistently looked after.

We currently partner with three South London councils, providing transportation services for both children and adults in and out of Kent. Recently, we’ve expanded to cover London postcodes, working with TFL-licensed drivers to ensure smooth and efficient journeys for our passengers.

In addition, we operate our own fleet of vehicles, licensed by Tonbridge & Malling and Medway Councils. As we grow our local operations, we are looking for new drivers and passenger assistants to join our team. Whether you hold a Tonbridge & Malling Council or Medway Hackney Carriage/Private Hire driver’s license, we want to hear from you. Our corporate travel services cater to various clients across Kent and local schools. We’re always seeking dedicated taxi drivers and passenger assistants for roles covering school runs and adult education transportation, including those requiring wheelchair-accessible vehicles and experience with vulnerable individuals. We also offer opportunities for owner-drivers and those wishing to use our vehicles. For school run roles, we provide licensed vehicles and support with obtaining a taxi licence, including costs and mentorship.
